Tetra Tech is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates to serve in a number of roles for an anticipated six-year USAID-funded program in Zambia. Tetra Tech ARD has a long history of working in Zambia, and we are looking for committed professionals with a desire to improve the lives of others with sustainable solutions to reduce stunting in rural areas. We are looking for specialists in the following areas: 

Markets and Trade/ Market Linkage Development; Crop Production; Small Business Development; Food Quality; Post-Harvest Handling; WASH; Community Lead Total Sanitation (CLTS); Construction of Small-Scale Infrastructure; Sanitation Marketing; Environmental Health and Safety; Social Behavior Change Communication; Institutional Strengthening; Local Governance and Decentralization; Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; Youth Engagement; Gender/Women’s Empowerment; Using Technology for Development; and Community Engagement.

* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; Master’s Degree preferred;
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in area of expertise;
* Experience working on international donor funded technical assistance programs required; USAID experience preferred;
* Professional experience in Zambia is required;
* Strong leadership, management, supervisory and analytical skills;
* Fluency in English is required; excellent presentation, and writing skills in English;
* Qualified Zambian nationals or third party nationals with valid Zambian work permits only should apply;

Systems Developer – National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA)

Reporting to the Manager – Information Systems, the jobholders will be required to develop and support, where prescribed, computer systems in NAPSA and to ensure their services and facilities meet business needs through integration of various systems as well as to provide enhancements for any outsource systems.
  • Carrying out systems analysis, development, implementation and support for systems that will assist in achieving a sustainable increase in contribution collections and quick benefits processing
  • Documenting all systems developed according to system development standards and ensure that the accepted methodology is followed
  • Strengthening the existing information systems to enhance efficiency, coordinate and complete integration between various NAPSA systems
  • Developing and implementing systems development standards and procedures
  • Ensuring that systems enhancements are effected as prescribed
  • Ensuring that systems amendments are tested before installation
  •  Full Grade 12 School Certificate with five ‘O’ levels including English and Mathematics
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or its equivalent qualifications
  • Strong Oracle application software development and analytical skills
  • Strong Business Analysis Skills
  • Strong PHP, Apache, SQL, Linux and other related web application development skills
  • Minimum of three (3) years ICT work experience in a similar environment

Senior Research Officer - Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ)

An Act of Parliament established the Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) in 1983 to set and conduct examinations and award certificates to successful candidates.  Before this enactment, the Ministry of Education and Culture under the Examinations Section used to conduct the examinations.  After the enactment, the section continued to perform the function of conducting the examinations while simultaneously developing an institutional framework and job descriptions.
Senior Research Officer-EC05
  • Plan and budget for the section activities
  • Prepares monthly and activity reports
  • Prepare performance results analysis reports for use during Council approval
  • Provides advisory expert knowledge with regard to educational research
  • Provides advisory expert knowledge with regard to the validation of other assessment instruments
  • Ensures that activities agreed upon in the Performance Management Development Contracts are done and the performance is assessed and evaluated timely
  • Prepares policy brief to act as targeted information points for effective dissemination and policy review
  • School certificate with five credits or better including English and Mathematics
  • Bachelor of Arts with Education or Bachelor of Science with Education
  • Three years post qualifying experience
