Crop Input Sales Manager at Cargill – Zambia

This position is open to Zambian and Southern African Nationals and will be based in Lusaka, Zambia.

Ideal Profile is someone who has worked and dealt with Commercial Farmers, has in-depth knowledge of fertilizers and chemicals and other crop inputs; and preferably with a background working for an input company. This individual should in addition have solid sales and marketing experience in the agriculture and farming sector

Primary reponsibilities will be;
Marketing, selling and management of the full Cargill range of crop production services to commercial farmers.  Coordination and management of the ordering, pricing and distribution of smallscale crop inputs in collaboration with commercial manager for the smallscale business.
Other key responsibilities are;
– Sale and marketing of fertilizer and chemicals to commercial farmers.
– Ordering, procurement and quality monitoring of fertilizer, chemicals and seed for commercial           farmers and smallscale business
– Manage fertilizer inventory and position, manage chemical inventory and expiration
– Analyze and manage producer risk exposures within limits as defined under authority
– Provide accurate and timely information for crop forecasting and field trends
– Ensure proper administration and contract management in line with systems and processes
– Ensure appropriate brand management and execution of marketing plan as per strategy and             guidelines
