MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER , Society for Family Health


Society for Family Health (SFH) seeks an experienced individual for the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&EO). This is a long term position. S/he will work closely with Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (M&EM) and other staff. This position is based in Lusaka, Zambia.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a focal person for collection, processing and use of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) program data to support improvements in program functioning and results.
  • Assist Regions in strengthening the use of data to identify monitoring system weaknesses, support early recognition of program progress, and for informed decision-making.
  • Identify, improve, and create linkages between the public and private sector to facilitate the collection of relevant VMMC program data.
  • Extract VMMC program data from Management Information System (MIS) and perform analysis.
  • Organize, plan, and help facilitate annual consensus building workshops with government and partners that result in the issuance of annual VMMC program estimates for key indicators.
  • Perform data analysis and prepare materials incorporating all available VMMC program data into concise databases, spreadsheets, and documents.
  • Document lessons learned and distribute topically relevant documents to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with all partners intervening in the area of VMMC monitoring.
  • Assist key stakeholders in determining technical assistance needs and facilitate/coordinate arrangements for providing requested support.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Systems from a reputable institution. Post graduate certification in M&E an added advantage
  • High proficiency in Database Development, SQL, Online Data Systems, SMS Systems and Ms Office packages especially MS Access.
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in data processing and management.
