FINANCE MANAGER


Our Client, a well established company in Lusaka, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team and ensure effective & efficient financial management through out the entire business and enhance overall compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements for sound business performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Implement financial policies and procedures & ensuring implementation at all levels of business.
Oversee the financial performance of the Organisation and advise management of any developments which may have impact on the company or its operations.
Hands on approach in having to pass journal entries and assisting the finance team to achieve reporting deadlines.
Preparation and review of budgets for all revenue generating functions of the business and cost centres for effective financial planning.
Preparation of forecasts.
Ensure that the services and products are priced in an effective way that promotes business profitability, commercial viability and competitiveness.
Establish strategic alliances and networks with financial institutions and maintain collaborative relationships for competitive bank rates and overdraft facilities.
Co-ordinate & facilitate external and internal annual financial audits in order to generate the appropriate financial statements.
Put in place a comprehensive risk management system which ensures institutional compliance with statutory regulations & guidelines.
Preparation of financial reporting to Directors/Shareholders in line with the group financial requirements.
Manage and guide the development of the finance team to ensure improved business performance.
Carry out any ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Ensure effective working capital management through coordination and monitoring of accounts receivable and payables as well as stocks.
Participate in team development by effectively assessing team competency and guiding on the appropriate training programs for competency development.
Manage the performance of the finance team through implementation of regular performance discussions and feedback.
Product costing and Pricing.
Skills/Qualifications
  • A Bachelors degree in a Commerce/Business Administration
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in accounting with 4 years at senior management level.
  • Strong Leadership & Interpersonal skills
  • Fully Certified Accountant
