Local Chinese Teacher

DESCRIPTION
The University of Zambia is a public university located in Lusaka, Zambia. UNZA was established in 1965 and officially opened its doors to the public on July 12, 1966. It is the oldest public university in Zambia.

Responsibilities
  • Teacher  Chinese language at a centre where he or she is posted by the Confucius institution
  • Organise and participate in cultural activities at a centre of posting
  • Conduct other duties or functions from the Vice Chancellor, Confucius institution and Chinese Embassy
  • Prepare lesson plans
  • Review and implement syllabi
  • Prepare and mark assignments, tests and examinations
  • Prepare and implement annual work plans and budgets
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 certificate with credits in English or Zambian Language
  • Bachelor’s from the University of Zambia or equivalent institution
  • Master’s degree from the University of Zambia or equivalent institution (requirement to teach at degree level)
  • One year working or living or studying experience in China
  • Computer literate with Word, Excel and Power point presentation
  • Fluent in Chinese and English (spoken and written)
  • Provide proof of passing Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) of at least level three
  • Zambian citizen
