Worldish , a member of the CGIAR Consortium, is an international, nonprofit research organization. CGIAR is a global partnership that unites organizations engaged in research for a food secure future. CGIAR research is dedicated to reducing rural poverty, increasing food security, improving human health and nutrition, and ensuring more sustainable management of natural resources. It is carried out by the 15 centers who are members of the CGIAR Consortium in close collaboration with hundreds of partner organizations, including national and regional research institutes, civil society organizations, academia, and the private sector.
WorldFish is committed to meeting two key development challenges: 1) improving the livelihoods of those who are especially poor and vulnerable in places where fisheries and aquaculture can make a difference and 2) achieving large scale, environmentally sustainable, increases in supply and access to fish at affordable prices for poor consumers in developing countries.
A unique opportunity has arisen for gifted individuals to contribute to the mission of the organization through the Harvest Plus Programme.
Administration Manager (Lusaka, Zambia)
The administrator will be responsible for administration activities relating to Harvest Plus. A skilled and highly motivated individual is required.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Advises on and performs delivery of specialized administration services related to procurement and or supply of service contracting and insurance related to office operations.
  2. Ensure processes for program are in accordance with laid down procedures, polices and guidelines.
  3. Establish and oversee office information management, including financial, personal, calendars and record keeping and ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing between program collaborators.
  4. Make arrangements for the effective and efficient local and international workshops and conferences.
  5. Manage contracts service providers.
  6. Coordinate and manage project transport including facilitation of travel arrangements for staff.
  7. Champion institutional values into the HarvestPlus staff
  8. Coordinate and facilitate staff welfare activities.
Competencies Required:
  • Knowledge of Information management
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting.
  • Knowledge of office Management
Highly Desired
  • Good people management skills and customer service orientated.
  • Ability to interact positively with people in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience in a global organisation
Education Requirements
  • Minimum of an advanced Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration or related field.
