Proposal Objective:
SI is preparing a proposal for an upcoming USAID-funded monitoring and evaluation activity in Zambia focused on the health sector. The purpose of the activity is to provide the USAID/Zambia Health Office, implementing partners, local partners, and the Government of Zambia stakeholders with improved data systems and utilization.
Position Description:
SI is seeking a Finance and Administration (F&A) Manager to support this program. The F&A Manager will coordinate the operational components necessary to make the program/office support function work efficiently for the USAID funded activity in Zambia. This position will be full-time and based in Zambia.
**Please note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Zambian citizenship will be considered.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial systems implementation, budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting and accounting.
  • Assist the COP with oversight and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly reports of field expenses in a timely manner, with full documentation, and according to Social Impact guidelines, and assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain regular communications with Social Impact headquarters staff (program and administration, consultants) to provide timely and complete financial support.
  • Supervise administrative and financial support staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in management or accounting or other relevant discipline required.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in USAID project financial management and administration of similar financial volume.
  • Expert knowledge of USAID rules and regulations highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and manage local national staff.
  • Fluency in English required.
