INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER , Society for Family Health (SFH)


Society for Family Health (SFH) is a leading Local Zambian Organisation with programmes targeting malaria, child survival, HIV and reproductive health. SFH work ranges from on the ground implementation of health services, arid community programs to distribution of health care products and services to the most vulnerable populations, provides life-saving products, clinical services and behavior change communications that empower the most vulnerable populations to lead healthier lives. SFH seeks an experienced individual for the position of Internal Audit Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assists Director of Internal Audit to develop an annual internal audit work plan and annual risk assessment processes which supports monitoring compliance with Populations Services International (PSI), donor and local legal requirements based on a risk prioritization, including both SFH Zambia local operations and Sub-Awardees.
  • Develops audit Scope, Methodology, objectives and plans for each audit to be performed.
  • Develops risk based audit work programs to ensure audit tests are in line with audit objectives.
  • Performs internal audits of SFH Zambia’s operations in line with the approved annual plan to assess the effectiveness of SFH Zambia’s internal controls and compliance with PS/SFH Zambia’s policies and procedures.
  • Analyses and verifies accuracy of financial statements, reports, records and payment transactions.
    Presents Audit Reports to Management arid the Audit Committee of the Board.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or/ACCA qualification.
  • Should be an Associate member of ZICA and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • 5 years post qualification experience in internal or External Audit preferably in an NGO.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Good Communication, Interpersonal Skills, Analytical and Forensic Investigation Skills.
  • Knowledge of United States Government (USG), Global Fund and other Donor regulations required.
