Finance Manager Job at Society for Family Health Zambia

Society for Family Health (SFH) is a leading Local Zambian Organization with programmes targeting malaria, child survival, HIV and reproductive health SFH work ranges from on the ground implementation of health services, and community programs to distribution of health care products and services to the most vulnerable populations, provides life-saving products, clinical services and behavior change communications that empower the most vulnerable populations to lead healthier lives. SFH seeks an experienced individual to fill the following position.

Finance Manager

This is a long term position. S/he will work closely with Finance Director and other staff to ensure resources are effectively budgeted and managed. This position is based in Lusaka, Zambia and will report to Finance Director.
Key responsibilities
– Provide financial and technical management to ensure best use of resource through sound budgeting, monitoring of expenses and timely preparation of donor financial reports
– Review monthly field office operating expense reports for completeness, accuracy and compliance
– Maintain Data integrity of all financial transactions and assist program Managers in collecting appropriate expense documentation
– Track monthly budgets to compare projections versus expenditure
– Maintain strong internal policies, processes and controls in order to provide timely, consistent, accurate financial and budget management
– Assist in strategic planning, work planning and budgeting processes under the supervision of Finance Director

Qualifications
– Degree in Accounting –ACCA/CIMA and ZICA professional membership
– A Master’s Degree would be an added advantage
– S/he should have at least 8 years professional experience managing financial and contractual aspects of development projects, including experience in managing finances for United States Government funded projects
– Ability to adopt new software and financial management systems
– Excellent management and leadership skills
– Proven analytical skills in isolating priorities and tackling them
– Demonstrated decision making and risk management capabilities
– Fluent in English and must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
– In-depth knowledge of United States Government and regulations and other donor regulations required
