PHARMACIST , AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF)

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is a locally registered not-for-profit NGO registered in Zambia. AHF collaborates with the Zambian government and other institutions to provide technical assistance to these key stakeholders to establish sustainable and replicable models for the delivery of quality and comprehensive HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support, HIV Counselling, and Testing. Prevention and Psycho-soci services to people living with HIV/AIDS
To meet the those needs, the Progam wishes to recruit dynamic, skilled, committed, self-driven and results orientated individuals.

Job Title: Phamracist
Core/Essential duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Reviews prescriptions issued by AHF Providers or other authorized prescribed to assure accuracy and clinical
    appropriateness,
  • Prepares, files and compounds drug orders by AHF physicians and other authorized personnel;
  • Supervise pharmacy personnel engaged in mixing, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals,
  • Answers questions and provides information to patients and providers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals
  • Maintains established policies and procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste drugs
  • Manages appropriate data collection, such as client name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files and inventory
  • Participates in a monthly stock count
Qualifications, Education and Experience
  • BSc Pharmacy
  • Certification in ART and Pharmacy logistics
  • Certification in Advanced ART pharmacy training
  • 1-2 years post graduate experience
  • Registration with HPCZ with a valid practicing license
