Ministry of Mines
The Ministry of Energy and Water Development has been merged with the Ministry of Mines to form a new Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Development. The Departments under this new Ministry are six. The realignment of the Ministry is intended to improve co-ordination and implementation of sector purposes in accordance with the ruling Patriotic Front party manifesto.

Fund Manager
Responsibilities
  • To oversee the operations of the fund
  • To prepare all relevant management reports and accounts as per financial regulations
  • Devise and recommend investments for the growth of fund
  • Ensure that value of fund is maintained with a positive balance.
  • Ensure and be responsible to collect all monies for the fund from mining companies.
  • Evaluate performance of the fund and regularly report performance against set indicators to the EPF Committee
  • To ensure, in conjunction with Heads of Sections in MSD, timely preparation and submission of long and medium term plans, annual budgets and periodical financial reports for consideration of the EPF
  • Will function as Secretary of the EPF Committee.
Qualifications
  • ACCA/CIMA/ZICA fully qualified
  • Degree or better in Business Administration, Economics, Banking or Finance
  • Ten years post qualification experience preferably in a mining environment
  • Member of ZICA
  • The candidate must have a restriction free and valid driver’s license
