Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist — General Nursing Council of Zambia


Applications are invited from highly motivated, result oriented, qualified and experienced persons to fill the the following vacancy:
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist —(1 Position)
Purpose
To monitor and evaluate the practice, professional conduct of nurses and midwives and to regularly assess Health facilities and training institutions in order to ensure adherence to the set standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Monitoring health facilities to ensure that quality nursing and midwifery care is provided to the public.
  2. Conducting assessments of training institutions and providing guidance on the adequacy and appropriateness of infrastructure, equipment and training materials.
  3. Conducting investigations on professional misconduct cases.
  4. Conducting research activities to provide evidence-based practice.
  5. Developing and reviewing tools for monitoring and evaluation activities.
  6. Disseminating and making available the nurses and Midwives Act and professional code of conduct to the nurses and midwives in all health facilities and training institutions
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Form Five / Crude Twelve School Certificate.
  2. Degree in Nursing and/or Midwifery.
  3. Five years working experience; two of which should be at managerial level.
  4. Valid Nurses/Midwifery practicing licence.
  5. Should not be more than 45 years of age.

  2. Good verbal and written communications skills
  3. Computer literacy
  4. Good interpersonal and team work skills
  5. Good leadership and supervisory skills
