Registry Clerk – General Nursing Council of Zambia


Applications are invited from highly motivated, result oriented, qualified and experienced persons to fill the the following vacancy:
Registry Clerk – (1 Position)
Purpose
To give administrative support to registration of nurses and midwives and records management in administration department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Participating in verification of results and indexing of new nursing and midwifery students.
  2. Maintaining registers for newly qualified nurses and midwives from all training institutions and records of all student matters.
  3. Opening files for newly qualified nurses and midwives including foreign trained nurses and midwives.
  4. Keeping both active and non-active files for nurses and midwives.
  5. Preparing monthly returns on verifications for nurses and midwives who applied to work outside the country and maintaining their confidential register.
  6. Collaborating with the Information Technology Specialist on reconciliations in capturing and entering the data to individual students index forms.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Form Five or Grade Twelve School Certificate.
  2. Advanced Certificate in Records Management, Public Administration, Management Studies or Human Resources.
  3. Two years work experience.
Skill Specifications and Attributes
  1. Good oral and written communication skills.
  2. Computer literacy.
  3. Good interpersonal and team work skills.
