Job Purpose
To plan, design and optimise the regional Radio Access Network (RAN) for both voice and data, to meet the company’s business objectives in terms of capacity, quality and performance targets as set out in the Airtel Group engineering guidelines.
Reporting to Network Planning Manager, the main duties will be to:
- Responsible for planning and optimization of 2G & 3G radio network.
- Effective utilization of all types of Radio inventory and release timely ground action plan.
- Coordination with deployment, operation teams to ensure correctness of implementation as desired by Planning department.
- Daily basis performance review and suggest for corrective actions
Required Skills & Knowledge
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering
- Able to operate in a performance driven organization
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
- 2+ years of O & M experience
- Work experience in 2G and 3G Radio
- System dimensioning experience
- Parametric and Physical optimization experience
- Debug & correlation skills over all Radio KPIs
- Strong project management skills
- Advanced skill in MS Excel
