Learn To Work Intern at Barclay's Bank Zambia

OBJECTIVE

1.1 The purpose of the Learn To Work Internship Programme is to offer students a period of practical experience in the industry relating to the field of study. It is an exchange of services for experience.

1.2 The programme is intended to achieve the following for the Bank:

a) Make available opportunities to students to complete industrial break projects and or gain work experience as part of course requirement
b) Give an opportunity to  young talent early enough for them to identify their career direction and application of studies in a banking environment
c) Provide additional resource in non sensitive areas of the business to meet work demands
d) Paying back to the community as a responsible corporate citizen


1.3  In turn students from learning institutions will benefit in the following ways:

a) Opportunity to gain industry work experience while studying
b) Have a feel of the work environment to enable them make future career decisions
c) This experience is valuable to students as a means of allowing them to experience how their studies are applied in the “real world” and as work experience that can be highly attractive to potential employers on a candidate’s curriculum vitae.

Essential/Basic Qualifications

 Candidates in any field of study may apply. Those studying qualifications in disciplines listed below are encouraged to apply.
1. Engineering;
2. Mathematics;
3. Science based ; and
4. ICT and Computer Science undergraduates
