The following position is available for immediate appointments in the National Biogas Support Unit (NBSU) to be hosted under the Renewable Energy Sector of SNV Zambia
NBSU Coordinator-Based in Lusaka (1)
Purpose
To work in the National Biogas Support Unit (NBSU) under the direct supervision of Project Manager taking overall responsibility of the development and management of NBSU and for the technical direction of the unit. The role of the NBSU is to guide and support the development of the biogas sector in Zambia ensuring optimum conditions and an enabling environment for the development of a healthy and sustainable biogas market. This position takes overall responsibilities to ensure that the key biogas sector functions (marketing, quality assurance, training, extension) are sustainably imbedded in national policy and practice.
Qualification, Work Experience and Professional Skills
- Should have Master’s Degree on Management/Economics/ Civil/Environmental/Agricultural/ Electrical Engineering or Environmental/Natural Resources Management or Renewable Energy Technologies.
- At least five years of experience in managing/supervising donor funded projects.
Working environment:
Positions 1-3: All Lusaka-based with 60% of office time and 40% field time.
Positions 4: 1 Lusaka based and 1 Southern Province based with 40% of office time and 60% field time.
