Opportunity
Abt Associates seeks senior technical specialists for long- and short-term assignments on anticipated Health Sector projects in Zambia. These projects will seek to improve health outcomes and strengthen health systems at the national, district, and community levels. All positions are contingent upon project award and funding.

We are seeking key technical specialists with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Reproductive Health
Maternal, Newborn & Child Health
Nutrition
Family Planning
HIV and AIDS
Health Systems Strengthening, including:
Result Based Financing
Supply Chain Management
Governance
Human Resources for Health
Health Financing
Health Policy
Building capacity of government institutions at various levels of the health system
Community based health interventions

Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field required
Minimum 10 years working in in Zambia to build capacity in the above named health sector areas
Experience working on donor-funded projects
Experience in program design, leadership, and implementation
Strong communications skills, including experience in engaging multiple stakeholders and working across cultures

English fluency required
