The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill an internship position under the Human Resources Division (Talent Deployment and Career Management branch, Headquarters). The position will be based in Rome. The Internship will be for a period of 6 months (approximately) starting from October 2015.
Description
The Talent Deployment and Career Management branch, Headquarters seeks an Intern to support the team with the analysis, insight and decisions that data leads us to make.
The selected candidate will be assisting the Talent Deployment team with the following key duties
  • Assist team in handling and interpreting HR data and reports, generating statistics and
    managing spreadsheets in Excel;
  • Creation of charts, visuals and dashboards to clearly present data and statistics in an
    innovative and effective way;
  • Creation of presentations as necessary to effectively communicate with colleagues and
    stakeholders;
  • Be a 'technical' focal point for team in relation to the above, as needed;
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required, assisting other team members as necessary in order to meet
    branch objectives
Essential Requirements
  • Currently enrolled or have recently graduated from a University degree in Finance, Computer
  • Science or related disciplines in which Excel has been/is a primary tool;
  • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study;
    Have attended courses in the last 12 months;
  • Proficiency in MsOffice (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) - We would ask that the candidate possess an advanced level of Excel and ideally PowerPoint;
  • Fluent in English. Second UN language would be an asset.
Terms and Conditions
Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP up to the amount of US$700 per month
(depending on the duty stations)
WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, travel to and from WFP internship location, necessary visas and costs related.
