FINANCE OFFICER – TEMPORARY RECRUITMENT
PERIOD – 7 MONTHS – 1st SEPTEMBER 2015 TO 31st MARCH 2015
Background:
iDE Zambia is part of an international grouping of NGOs which works to harness the power of the private sector to achieve poverty alleviation and other developmental outcomes. We are looking to recruit a Finance Officer on a short term basis.
Responsibilities:
- Financial/accounting activities for all iDE Zambia’s projects
- Collection of financial documentation from field offices, control of finances from field offices, monitoring of advances
- Maintaining and Posting all transactions into the SUN accounting system
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts on a monthly basis
- Filing of financial documentation
- Assets utilization management and record keeping, keeping of inventory
- Ensuring ZRA/NAPSA returns and payments are processed on time
- Prepare and process electronic and/or cheque payments in accordance with iDE Finance and Accounting guidelines
- Maintaining staff medical and gratuity data
Requirements:
- Qualification; Intermediate Stage of Professional Accounting Qualification
- Hands on Experience working with SUN System
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in project finance and accounting, financial reporting
- Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is an advantage
- Fluent in English – written and spoken
- Excellent computer skills – MS office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet
- Diligent, accurate, attentive to detail and organized
- Excellent time management, commitment, team player, reliable and hardworking, able to work under pressure
