MONEY MARKET COORDINATOR WANTED AT ZANACO BANK


Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Operations Division under the Payments & Loan Centre Department at Head Office.
MONEY MARKET COORDINATOR (X1)
JOB PURPOSE
To process money market deals and ensure that confirmations are done in accordance with banking principles and relevant internal guidelines.
Under the supervision of the Money Market Specialist, the following are among the job key responsibilities:-
  • Confirm and verify daily cash withdrawals with Treasury report and process in the system as per stipulated time frame.
  • Confirm money markets transactions with respective counterparties and process in the system after confirmations.
  • Monitor the loan repayments from other banks and advise the supervisor accordingly.
  • Process claims for interest on late settlements of money market deals.
  • Process queries for non-receipt of funds with other correspondent banks and customers.
  • Ensure that all processed deals have matched confirmations (MT320) from the other bank plus the appropriate Reuters reports.
  • Prepare daily interbank money market returns.
  • Process collateral for money markets deals on Centralized Securities Depository (CSD) system.
  • Filing processed work orderly.
  • Any other responsibilities as maybe assigned by management.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACT
  • External: Correspondent banks, Customers, SWIFT
  • Internal: All divisions
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
  • Diploma/Degree in Banking or any other related field
  • At least two to three (2-3) years working experience
  • One-two years experience working in a bank is an added experience
  • Membership of the Financial Markets Association (ACI)
