Manager Credit Support job at Finance Bank Zambia


Finance Bank Zambia Plc is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced persons in credit Support Department based at Head office.
Manager Credit Support
Reporting to the Assistant Director – Credit Support
Main purpose
  • Identifies cross sell opportunities, prepare client credit proposals, annual reviews, renewals of credit proposals, annual reviews, renewals of credit facilities, and coordination of document preparations and closings
  • Maintain a discreet portfolio of credit relationships and undertake financial analysis, credit analysis and approval process
  • Coordinate credit and loan portfolio administration support  such as a monitoring expiring facilities, document exceptions
  • Lead and direct team members to maintain a prudent credit culture through separation of credit initiation and approval processes
Responsibilities
  • Carry out credit underwriting activities for credit products and carry out preliminary analysis of applications for credit facilities as submitted by the Branches to ensure compliance with the Bank’s Credit Policy
  • Carry out risks assessments of applications for credit facilities and obtain approval from relevant approving authorities
  • Prepare reports for monitoring of credit facilities
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Departmental Head
Requirements
  • A university degree (Finance/Accounting/Banking)
  • Certified professional courses in Accounting/Credit/Risk will be added advantage
ExperienceAt least 3-4 years in a Credit related function in a Commercial Banking institution.
Skills
  • Analytical skills to be able to compile and evaluate credit applications
  • An understanding of financial statements
  • Knowledge of general banking operations
  • IT literate: spreadsheets, MS Word

Finance Bank Zambia Plc is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced persons in credit Support Department based at Head office.
Assistant Manager – Credit
Reporting to: Executive Director
Main purpose of the job
Responsible for general lending activities of the bank and will be stationed at head office. The incumbent will co-ordinate day to day loan monitoring/administration and deliver outstanding credit risk business performance, through provision of efficient management, outstanding leadership and team development.
Key area of responsibility
• Agree targets and take accountability for the overall achievement of a healthy loan portfolio of the bank
• Preparation of facility letters, perfection of security and general correspondence
• Marking of limits/loans contracts, monitoring credit facilities and maintenance of accurate MIS
• Reconciliation of suspense accounts and periodic review of the loan book
• Competent in the preparation and prompt submission of prudential return to Bank of Zambia.
Qualifications
• He/she should have good interpersonal, analytical and personal writing skills
• He/she must have a minimum of a degree in Business administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent with least 5 years post qualifying practical experience.
• Proficiency in Ms Office(Word,Excel,Powerpoint and outlook)is recommended

Finance Bank Zambia Plc is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced persons in credit Support Department based at Head office.
Credit Officer 
Main purpose of the job
To provide administrative support to the Assistant Manager – credit, in the day to day general lending activities of the bank.
Key areas of the responsibility
• Preparation of facility letters, perfection of security and general correspondence.
• Marking of limits/loan contracts, monitoring credit facilities and maintenance of accurate MIS
• Reconciliation of suspense accounts and periodic accounts reviews of the loan book
• Competent in the suspense accounts and prompt submission of Prudential Returns to Banks of Zambia
Qualifications
• He/she must have good interpersonal, analytical and strong writing skills.
• He/she must have a minimum of a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent with at least 3 years post qualifying practical
• Proficiency in Ms Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook) is recommended
