Business Analyst – Finance

 Key Responsibilities
  • Provide input regarding the impact of MTN Finance related financial decisions made across the business.
  • Tracking financial and non-financial business performance against budget/targets
  • Preparation of monthly management reporting pack for business performance including commentary
  • Provide inputs for the forecasting, planning, development and review of budget for MTN Finance department
  • Analyse the profitability of products and services and advise the business accordingly
  • Fulfil a specialist role for ad hoc projects where required, giving specialist input, making recommendations, identifying areas of risk and non-compliance and making recommendations as appropriate.
  • Translate targets and strategies into operational plans, ensuring alignment of these to business strategy, executing thereof and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Candidate Requirements
  • BA Finance & Accounting
  • ACCA/CIMA-Finalist/fully qualified
  • Minimum of 4years financial analysis experience
  • 2 years’ experience in a large organization
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in Sun Accounting System, IFS or Sage

Inspector, Pensions at Pensions and Insurance Authority

The Pensions and Insurance Authority is a statutory body established by the Pensions Scheme Regulation Act no 28 of 1996 (as amended by Act No. 27 of 2005) to regulate and supervise the Pensions and Insurance Authority in Zambia.
The Authority is now seeking to identify qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position below.
Inspector  Pensions
Overall responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager – Compliance and Inspection, the Inspector will be responsible for carrying out inspections of the pensions schemes, considering applications for registration of pensions schemes and service providers and analysing returns of supervised entities to ensure compliance to the Pension Scheme Regulation Act.
Specific duties
  • Conducting onsite inspections of the regulated entities so as to assess compliance levels the regulated entities
  • Analysis of the statutory returns
  • Assessing applications for registration of pension schemes and services providers
  • Communication with supervised entities on routine matters, and compilation of compliance reports for regulated entities
Requirements
  • Grade 12 Certificate with minimum of five (credits)
  • Degree in business studies or full professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA/CIMA qualifications
  • Exposure to finance analysis and taxation rules
  • Good report writing skills
  • A member of ZICA or other professional bodies
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • At least 3 years post qualification

The Assistant Auditor assists the Auditor in providing internal audit services by reviewing and testing the efficiency and effectiveness of the procedures and internal controls of the Authority.
Specific duties:-
  • To assists in audit operational systems and procedures
  • Reviewing internal controls and advice on measures to improve systems
  • Propose tools to use in audit
  • To assist in drafting and submitting audits report and recommendation therefore of
  • To be part of the team liaising with external auditors
Requirements:-
  • Full grade twelve certificate
  • Qualification at AAT III, NATECH, ATD, part ACCA or CIMA or ZICA II level or equivalent
  • Good report writing skills
  • Full member of ZICA
  • Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors
  • At least one year relevant auditing experience in a reputable organisation

Leonard Cheshire Disability is currently recruiting for an Inclusive Education Advisor to join its regional office based in Lusaka, Zambia.
