PURPOSE:
Establish a strategic direction for the Supply Chain Management function within World Vision Zambia to meet WV Global standard with the responsibility for organizing, leading, contributing, implementing and facilitating supply chain management program within World Vision Zambia that will have the greatest impact on process improvement, simplification, and standardization.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Education:
- University or similar degree in Business Administration, Social Science, or Supply Chain Management, Procurement, advance degree preferred.
- Professional qualification a must, preferably MCIPS/CILT qualified.
Experience:
- At least 7-10 years’experience in Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years’experience in a management position.
- Deep specialist skills in procurement.
- International Supply Chain Management experience preferable.
Special Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Supply chain management experience.
- Purchasing know-how and mastery in 7-Step Sourcing Process.
- Highly experienced in negotiation strategies and tactics.
- Supplier Management experience of 3 years.
- Technical awareness of Supply Chain Management technologies and their application.
- Ability to explain complex supply chain concepts in simple terms to a diverse client team (senior executives and Supply Chain Management professionals).
