HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER – TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimisation of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented and well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacancy in the Human Resource Department.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER – TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT – ZRA04 (1)
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director – Resourcing and Development, the Job holder will be responsible for effectively contributing to the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) business through developing and implementing Human Resource training and development strategies, policies and practices, identification of training needs, course design and delivery, coaching and monitoring Performance Management at all levels across ZRA and management of external training providers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops strategic plans for provision of training and development of staff in line with ZRA business objectives.
  • Works closely with line management to ensure that staff training needs are determined and actual training supports their business.
  • Organises the preparation of the Authority’s training plans containing details of the necessary training programmes for all the Authority employees to be accomplished by means of both internal and, where necessary, external training courses.
  • Assists in designing and implementing induction/orientation courses for new employees in order to ensure that ·they acclimatize to the ZRA environment and work practices.
  • Provides administrative and logistical support to trainees in form of venues and accommodation, training equipment and materials to ensure training delivery is effective.
  • Conducts training evaluation to ensure effectiveness of training interventions in the Authority.
  • Coordinate the Authority’s Performance Management & Development System Liaises with Training
  • Coordinators and ensures that they are delivering and meeting training needs of business units.
  • Participates in preparation of Training and Development budget and monitors the training budget to ensure that all training efforts meet the intended objectives within the given financial parameters/budgets.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Grade 12 School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (GCE)
  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or Business Administration or relevant qualification
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience
  • Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Job Title: Executive Assistant
Society for Family Health (SFH) seeks an experienced individual for the position of Executive Assistant (EA) who must have experience in handling a wide range of administrative and Executive support related tasks and be able to work independently with little or no supervision. The individual must be extremely well organised, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are equally important. This position will report to The Executive Director(ED).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for effective management of the Office and calendars of the ED and other Directors.
  • Efficient and effective handling of incoming and outgoing correspondence, redirecting mail to appropriate Directors, Managers and Departments for action, as appropriate.
  • Drafting of correspondence, reports and documents of administrative nature as required.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
  • Arrange travel schedules and reservations for the ED, Directors and visiting dignitaries, both international and local.
  • Making accommodation arrangements for visiting expatriates as needed.
  • Establish, maintain and manage the accessible filing system.
  • Receives visitors and scheduling SFH site visits and other program meetings for them.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Business Administration or related field is desirable.
  • Secretarial Diploma from a recognized Institution.
  • At least 5 years experience working in an Executive Office.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Work experience in a Non-Governmental Organization setting is an added advantage
  • Must have ability to operate independently, collaboratively, with a strong dynamic working style.
  • Must be able to maintain the highest level of professionalism.
  • Must be able to communicate articulately, clearly and concisely (verbal and written).
