The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) wishes to recruit for the under listed position to be based at its Head Office (Lusaka). The successful applicant will be expected to have demonstrable competencies relevant to the job and will be offered a competitive remuneration package.
1. PROJECT MANAGER
Job Purpose
The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of NAPSA property development projects from beginning to end to ensure delivery against set timelines and quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
a) Coordinate the daily operations of the NAPSA projects to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the use of time and resources;
b) Create and deliver the project work plans to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of the projects within the set timelines and budgets;
c) Revise the project work plans as appropriate so as to meet the changing needs and requirements which include change of project design, scope and even budget;
d) Develop and submit project status reports to NAPSA management as the project progresses from initial stages to completion, to support management make informed decisions on strategies for any challenges identified;
e) Monitor the project deliverables for quality, to ensure appropriate interventions are taken to correct any quality gaps identified;
f) Supervise all the specialists/experts and contractors on the projects undertaken by NAPSA to ensure maintenance of the required quality and standards.
g) Provide consistent communication and efficient liaison with the contractors, consultants, architects/planners, and the contracted project managers for the smooth running of the projects; and
h) Liaise with other projects directorate staff over the supervision and implementation of construction projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Five (5) “O” Levels (with credit and above) inclusive of Mathematics and English.
- Degree in Architecture plus Project Management qualification.
- Not less than seven (7) years of experience as a Project Manager in construction or similar projects of similar scope.
- Must be registered with Zambia Institute of Architects.
- Must be a full member of Zambia Institute of Architects.
