Inventory Controller
A growing Services Company, in the Risk Management and IT Sector is urgently looking for a Female Inventory Controller to join their team. The position is based in Lusaka.
Job Purpose
The incumbent shall be responsible for carrying out all tasks associated with safe storage, receiving, issuing and physical movement of materials in the Main stores, keeping stock card quantities current with every movement of materials. The incumbent shall be responsible for company Inventory Management function.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Store materials safely, orderly, and properly identified and packed/crated.
- Maintain good housekeeping in stores.
- Receive materials Inspect, and store in applicable designated locations.
- Update stock cards, identify slow moving and obsolete stocks and report to your supervisor for timely action
- Issue materials (FIFO-methodology) as requested (Production and outside processing) completing the relevant paperwork and updating stock cards See to the physical movement of material.
- Pack/crate finished goods properly for delivery
- Degrease relevant items. Ensure that the proper PPE is used and that the procedures are followed
- Carry out daily, weekly and monthly physical stock taking exercises – accuracy of prime importance. Report on stock levels.
- Keep a keen eye on stock levels of consumable materials and give timeous warning to re-order. All stock variances to be accurately investigated and acceptable explanations availed
- Attend monthly safety meeting and resolve problems
- To control the cylinders and bulk gases inventories effectively and efficiently, in such a way that stock losses are eliminated and timeously reconcile these stocks
- Ensure inventory levels are optimized and a quality service is rendered to customers
- To process documentation accurately and timeously; to maintain documentation flow and filing;
- To process dispatch and load Sheets
- To analyze and ensure stock availability
- To capture Trip Results and generate cylinder movement reports
- To reconcile Production Declaration
- To Process and reconcile bulk gas stock records.
Minimum Requirements:
- A diploma in a commercial, business field or accountancy with not less than 3 years’ experience
- Computer skills with ACCPAC; Data capturing and Inventory administration skills will be an added advantage.
- Able to safely work in a busy environment
