The Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia is a partner of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and works to increase young people’s access to comprehensive youth-friendly gender sensitive sexuality education and services. PPAZ campaigns for sexual and reproductive health and rights through advocacy and services. PPAZ defends the right of all young people to enjoy their sexual lives free from ill health, unwanted pregnancy, violence and discrimination. They work to ensure that women are not put at unnecessary risk of injury, illness and death as a result of pregnancy and childbirth. They support a woman’s right to choose to terminate her pregnancy legally and safely, and strive to eliminate sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and reduce the spread and impact of HIV/AIDS.
