Job Objective
- Preparation of Management Accounts and regular filing of ALL regulatory authorities/agencies returns for compliance;
- Providing regulatory consultancy services to staff of various offices of the Bank with a view to ensuring regulatory compliance
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparation of management accounts and filing of ALL regulatory authorities/agencies returns for compliance
- Provide regulatory consultancy services to staff of various offices of the Bank with a view to ensuring regulatory compliance
- Help to create awareness of regulatory documentations for processes and approvals.
- Obtain various regulatory approvals for the Bank within the region e.g. new branch applications, new equity increase applications; other equity investment decisions
- Supervise the job performance of members of accounting system, GL review, ratings & market intelligence, Fixed Asset management unit.
- Provide strategic support and directives to various business offices within the country during audit of the Bank by regulatory authorities/external auditors
- Pursue positive perception of the Bank by all regulatory authorities and agencies and liaise with concerned units in preparing all responses to queries from the regulatory authorities and other agencies
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accountancy graduating with credit or better
- Full ACCA/ CIMA
- Registered member of ZICA
- 5 years experience in a similar/ senior financial role in a bank
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory pronouncements and financial laws.
- Knwoledge of banking operations
