Job Title: Regional General Manager Northern Region (Copper belt, North Western, Luapula & Northern Provinces)
Reporting to: Chief Executive office
Regional Headcount (FTE) – 60 employees
Key Responsibilities
- Driving of business results through different revenue streams, and growing key customers new revenue in the Region.
- Oversee the management of Service Centres and Dealer Connect Store operations by ensuring good customer experience as well as drive retail growth in the Region.
- Manage dealer, franchisee and strategic channels partner networks overseeing its recruitment and ongoing performance management in the Region.
- Leading the development, review and implementation of policies, compliance and governance standards for distribution channel operations for the Region.
- Drive desired sales performance and reward satisfaction for its distribution channel that includes Regular Monthly Sales Targets, Regular Acquisition Targets, EVD Penetration, and increase in Market Share in the Region etc.
- Oversee the management of commercial financial operations division on financial planning and analysis, Warehousing, stock, and debt Management in the Region.
- Management of the Regional Mobile Money Kiosks to ensure growth and visibility in all strategic networks.
- Management and growth of the Mobile Money Merchant Network across the Region.
- Develop Regional route to market strategies to improve on agent quality and manage expansion of MTN’s Mobile Money Retail footprint to ensure product availability at “arms length of desire” as well as Grow Mobile Money Eco-system.
- Implement initiatives to improve float availability within the Mobile Money environment in the Region.
- Ensure MTN’s Mobile Money remains competitive in terms of depth, breadth, customer experience and branding in the Region.
- Prepares, monitors and controls annual Regional budget to ensure that expenditure is in line with the Regional Business Plan.
- Leads the development, implementation and review of policies, process and procedures for effective management of the Region.
- Manages MTNZ Enterprise Solutions relationships with key external suppliers to ensure sustainability within the Region.
- Oversees Brand & Communications operational strategies and activities to ensure the enhancement of the image of the MTN Brand and corporate reputation, and business growth through segment based value proposition communications and campaigns in the Region.
- Oversees Products & Services operational strategies and activities to ensure products and services strategy development and implementation across the region segments contributing to revenue growth in the Region.
- Management of key MTN Zambia High Value Customers within the Enterprise Business environment by reviewing the performance of accounts on a monthly basis and lead the development and implementation of creative solutions to attract, retain and grow accounts in the entire Region.
- Focus on relevant market segments for the development of segment specific value propositions within the Enterprise Business Unit e.g. SMEs, Multinational, NGOS.
- Monitors the performance of the Network and takes action to maintain service levels within targets set in the Region.
- Effectively manages the development of direct reports, effectively linking performance management, learning & development, talent management and the MTNZ Employee Value Proposition to achieve optimum performance.
NB: This role of Regional General Manager is purely an operational role responsible for implementation of the Business Strategy in Distribution, Enterprise, Marketing, and Networks as well as provide drive of business objectives in the Region.
Candidate Requirements
- First degree in Marketing/Sales, Business.
- MBA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of Ten years’ experience in Distribution Channel, Enterprise, Mobile Money and Marketing management.
- 5 years in senior management role.
- Warehousing, Dealer/distribution and channel management knowledge.
- Experience in medium to large subsidiary of multinational/telecom company.
- Worked across diverse cultures and geography.
- Solid Financial and analytical skills.
- General management leadership skills.
