Do you want to be part of a team that helps make headlines and tells compelling stories? If so ActionAid’s Editorial and Stories team is the place for you.
As ActionAid’s Copywriter and Editor you will use your writing and storytelling skills to position ActionAid UK as the charity of choice for those looking to support women and girls in the fight against poverty worldwide. Varying tone and style you will write and edit for a range of communications, fundraising, supporter engagement, policy and campaigns materials.
You will help develop our key messages and uphold our house style, embedding both within the organisation, as well as build our brand with external audiences. From proof reading and editing copy, to researching content and gathering compelling facts and stats, you will be at the heart of ActionAid’s content team.
You will also help develop expertise across the organisation, supporting training for other teams, sharing learning and developing sector insight so that we can continually improve our communications.
Your portfolio must demonstrate your writing, editing and proofing skills across different channels, as well as the ability to compile accurate and compelling desk-based content from a wide variety of sources.
You will demonstrate that you have a firm grasp of global affairs and understand how to tell stories in an engaging and appropriate way.
You are good at meeting deadlines and are used to working in a busy communications environment, with shifting priorities and needs. A strong project manager, you have an eye for detail and well developed interpersonal skills.
