HEAD RETAIL BANKING
The Head Retail Banking will be accountable for the overall leadership, management and strategic direction of the whole Retail Branch Network, including but not limited to; business unit performance, coordination of branch operations, ensuring excellent branch performance, taking collective responsibility for the management of the Bank, and being part of a dynamic team that is striving to lead the ‘A-‘ Credit – Rated business to the next level.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, Head Retail Banking will have the following KPI’s:
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI’S)
Re-evaluate the current operational and management models for branches.
Monitor and optimise the financial performance of branches.
Convert the overall Bank strategies into operational business plans by virtue of strategic insight.
Translate the Bank’s vision, mission and strategic objectives into operational practices and goals for the branches.
Promote effective communication, good team spirit and build high morale amongst Retail Banking personnel.
Manage the alignment between strategic intent and personal objectives.
Translate the Bank’s market and sales strategy into a customer focused business plan and implement accordingly.
Ensure the delivery and maintenance of customer service excellence by cultivating and driving an ongoing sales and customer focused culture.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Precise understanding of the Banking sector and the Financial Services Industry.
Retail business, sales & marketing expertise and experience.
Good understanding of banking products, services, and people management.

QUALIFICATION
At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in Retail Banking and Executive Management.
Bachelor’s Degree in a commercial field is a must.
Full grade 12 certificate with credits or better in Mathematics and English.
Relevant postgraduate qualification.
Participation in an executive development programme.
Computer Literacy (with sound working knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
