The Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (CEC) is an independent power transmission, distribution and generation company with interests in closely linked businesses, including optic fibre based telecommunications, in Zambia and the African region.

VACANCIES

CEC is inviting applications from suitably qualified, innovative and dynamic individuals to take up the following position.

Job Purpose

To repair and maintain various electrical equipment, instruments, appliances and other installations in order to optimise their operation in the assigned section.

Key Accountabilities

• Carry out electrical repairs involving diagnosis, dismantling, rectification of faults, installation and commissioning of the equipment so as to ensure that the same are performed right the first time.
• Carry out preventive maintenance of all installations in order to avoid major breakdowns.
• Undertake modification of defective components so as to adapt them to new operating requirements.
• Undertake the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure that all Company resources under the section are used solely for Company purposes.
• Undertake and complete given assignments within allocated time frame.
• Undertake any additional tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time, in compliance with the Company’s multi-skilling programme.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Technician or Craft Certificate
• Two (2) years working experience
• Registered member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ
