POSITION SUMMARY
IBTCI is seeking a Local Coordinator/Translator for the USAID DRG-LER Performance Evaluation of the Consortium for Elections and Political Processes Strengthening III Leader Award (CEPPS III LWA) based in Lusaka, Zambia. This is a short-term assignment commencing in mid- to late August 2015, with up to 7 days of work.
The Local Coordinator/Translator under the USAID CEPPS III LWA serves to facilitate the Evaluation Specialist's in-country visit, including, but not limited to, the following activities in Lusaka, Zambia:
  • Conducting preparatory work as instructed by the Evaluation Specialist, including compiling contact information and identifying appropriate individuals and organizations with which to meet
  • Setting up and tracking meetings, and ensuring smooth logistical and administrative arrangements (e.g., cell phones or local transportation)
  • Attending meetings with the Evaluation Specialist as deemed necessary
  • Acting in a substantive role as a briefer or translator/interpreter
  • Conducting follow-up work or fact-checking post-Evaluation Specialist departure
Minimum Qualifications
  • Fluency in English and local dialects required
  • Availability in mid to late August, for up to 7 days of work
  • At least three years of previous work experience with international donor programming
  • Experience working with all levels of staff, including strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication
  • Bachelor's Degree
