We are a one of the leading, specialized automobile Tyre retailers in Zambia currently operating thirteen (13) Tyre sales and fitment outlets.

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Officer to join our team providing general IT support to customer service outlets and staff in a multi-site environment.

As a successful candidate, you will be required to demonstrate:
– Solid understanding of Windows Server Technologies including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PXE/BOOTP Technologies
– Solid understanding of Microsoft Workstation Windows 7/8 in a distributed multi-homed enviroment
– Solid understanding of networking layers relating to Firewall, VPN, and proxy servers
– Understanding and experience with windows Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services for Application Delivery
– Understanding of Visualization Technologies such as VMWARE and Hyper-V
– Exposure and understanding of Apple OSX products and Linux offerings. Ability to navigate a command line interface essential
– Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Administration, query building and diagnostics
– Troubleshooting, Maintenance, Service and Repair of Workstation and Server hardware components
– Exposure to Wireless Networks, not only group access but long range Wireless network connectivity
– Experience with retail hardware such as printers, cash drawers, and bar code scanners
Expectation/Duties
– Maintain netwwork, Ability to solve problems, logging, daily time tracking, Provide Support to end users with limited experience, provide training materials to staff
– Dispaly an ability to solve problems, Self starter, goal oriented and focused in an enviroment where IT is the backbone to the success of the organisation
– Stay current and be aware of new and upcoming technologies and opportunities to further optimise ease of use for users and administration
– MCSA certified or at least 3 out of the 4 exams for that track of courses. Other certifications beneficial
– Minimum 3 years work experience in a similar role
