PROJECT MANAGER

Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following  position at CBM Special Need Education Centre Project in School of Education at the University of Zambia.

JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER (1 Position)

PURPOSE: To oversee the Establishment and implementation of the Special Needs Education Resource Centre in School of Education at the University of Zambia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the building process and implementation of Project activities as outlined in the Project Plan.
• Lead in the organisation of trainings and workshops in compliance with the budget requirements.
• Ensure production of good quality minutes during meetings, workshops and trainings.
• Prepare Project financial books and quarterly financial reports in conformity with both Zambian and International accounting standards.
• Ensure that financial statements are audited as per requirements set in audit guidelines.
• Facilitate the procurement of items in full compliance with the University of Zambia Guidelines on Procurement and with standards set by CBC Project Agreement.
• Facilitate the process of customs clearance of any goods shipped/procured by the project.
• Prepare timely annual and quarterly reports for the activities of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 /Form V Certificate with minimum of credit in English and Mathematics.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Public Administration, Education, Human Resource Management or any other related field.
• Masters Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Management of related field.
• Must have at least three (3) years professional work experience in Project Management, Financial Management preferably in a public institution.
• Must be computer literate conversant with Word, Excel and Powerpoint presentation.
• Must be fluent in English (Spoken and Written).
