The following position is available for immediate appointments in the National Biogas Support Unit (NBSU) to be hosted under the Renewable Energy Sector of SNV Zambia
Promotion and M&E Officer – NBSU-Based in Lusaka
Purpose
To work in the NBSU under the supervision of NBSU Coordinator for day-to-day management of the promotion as well as monitoring and evaluation activities related to biogas project including working with project staff, external consultants, implementing partners and key stakeholders. The ME Officer will work closely with Chief Biogas Engineer and other NBSUs staff members.
The major task for this position comprise of (i) initiation and implementation of promotional activities (ii) operationalisation of project M&E system, and (iii) contract formulation contracting and contract monitoring of all subcontracted activities.
Qualification, Work Experience and Professional Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, engineering or related field. Master’s degree or Bachelor plus an advanced certificate in M&E, statistics, or economics preferred.
- Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
- Experience in designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
Working environment:
Positions 1-3: All Lusaka-based with 60% of office time and 40% field time.
Positions 4: 1 Lusaka based and 1 Southern Province based with 40% of office time and 60% field time.
