VACANCY: Zonal Sales Executives – GSM Prepaid (x6)

JOB PURPOSE
Identifying and building trade business prospect by maintaining relationships with zonal distributor sales team.
REPORTING TO THE ZONAL BUSINESS MANAGER, THE MAIN DUTIES ARE:
1. Achieve quality Gross addition targets and target SOGA leadership
- Engage retailers to sell SIM cards
- Manage a direct selling team under the assigned distributor for sale of SIM cards and low cost devices
- Manage and maintain KYC devices for SIM card registration to increase gross additions
- Ensure stock availability at all the outlets for SIMs , ULCH and physical vouchers
- Ensure the quality of sales is maintained
2. Ensure effective coverage of market on sales and visibility
- Monitor and manage the direct sales team of the distributor in taking them to a predefined market each day
- Coach and train them to sell the product in the right manner
- Implement planned activities in the zone to ensure that objectives are met with gazebos
- Manage the distribution of branding and promotion materials to enhance visibility and build consumer/distributor loyalty in the zone.
- Keep track of competition activities
3. Retailer engagement: meet defined targets for retailer count for various products
- Identify and appoint retailers for sale of recharge cards and SIMs / phones as per targets and dimensioning done for the assigned territory
- Ensure all identified retailers participate in selling Airtel products in the given market
- Train and engage retailers to sell Airtel products
- Manage the proper mapping of retailers to ensure all markets are properly covered
- Ensure retailers manage KYC devices and are utilizing the tools given by Airtel effectively and efficiently.
4. Market governance
- Monitor and track the various competition activities and report periodically to ZBMs
- Hygiene aspects of distribution like stock availability , Visibility at retailers to be tracked and corrected periodically
- Training of distributor staff on the ways of work to be done regularly and on the job training to them
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
- University Degree in a Business Related Discipline
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
- Fresh Graduate with a minimum of a year’s experience in a similar role
- Experience in channel sales or direct sales
