M-Net seeks to appoint a suitably qualified candidate on a 1 year internship to assume the role of Content Intern: Zambezi Magic. This person must be a national from Zambia, Zimbabwe or Botswana with either permanent residency or dual citizenship for South Africa. This position reports to the Channel Head: Zambezi Magic, and will be based at our offices in Randburg.

- Support and assist the Commissioning Editors
 - Originate, develop and commission innovative new programmes
 - Generate ideas and identify fresh territories and themes for exploration
 - knowledge and understanding of recent broadcasting output, audience, schedule, presentation, and strategic vision
 - Excellent understanding of legal/compliance guidelines
 - Receive tapes and FCC sheets and music cues (SAMRO norm)
 - Record tape number and details
 - Share/Distribute tape info
 - Deliver physical tape to library
 - Conclude Wipe and reloads
 - Follow up with production houses
 - Resolve non-TX tapes

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED.
- Tertiary degree/diploma in Drama/Media Studies/TV
 - Extensive knowledge and experience of the Zambian, Zimbabwean and Botswana TV viewing markets
 - Knowledge and experience of the Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana production industry
 - Passion for, understanding of and experience in Zambian, Zimbabwean and Botswana programming, entertainment television and global media trends
 - Computer literacy – Windows, MS office packages, Paradigm
