Driver – General Nursing Council of Zambia

Applications are invited from highly motivated, result oriented, qualified and experienced persons to fill the the following vacancy:

Driver – (1 Position)

Purpose

To drive and maintain council vehicles.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Driving Council vehicles for purposes of transporting authorized personnel and delivering and collecting documents and any other items as instructed.
2. Meeting travelling officials and performing protocol duties or them.
3. Checking pressure, gas, oil and any other items on the vehicle on daily basis and report to the authorities accordingly.
4. Ensuring that the vehicle is clean at all times and that no unauthorized items are kept in the vehicles.
5. Logging official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oils etc.
6. Ensuring that the vehicles being driven meet the safety rules and regulations on the road.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Form Five or Grade Twelve School Certificate.
2. Driving licence with class C.
3. Two years work experience.
4. Knowledge of basic mechanics will be an added advantage.

Skill Specifications and Attributes

1. Good oral and written communication skills.
2. Computer literacy.
3. Good interpersonal and team work skills.
