Ministry of Mines
The Ministry of Energy and Water Development has been merged with the Ministry of Mines to form a new Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Development. The Departments under this new Ministry are six. The realignment of the Ministry is intended to improve co-ordination and implementation of sector purposes in accordance with the ruling Patriotic Front party manifesto.
Fund Manager
Responsibilities
- To oversee the operations of the fund
- To prepare all relevant management reports and accounts as per financial regulations
- Devise and recommend investments for the growth of fund
- Ensure that value of fund is maintained with a positive balance.
- Ensure and be responsible to collect all monies for the fund from mining companies.
- Evaluate performance of the fund and regularly report performance against set indicators to the EPF Committee
- To ensure, in conjunction with Heads of Sections in MSD, timely preparation and submission of long and medium term plans, annual budgets and periodical financial reports for consideration of the EPF
- Will function as Secretary of the EPF Committee.
Qualifications
- ACCA/CIMA/ZICA fully qualified
- Degree or better in Business Administration, Economics, Banking or Finance
- Ten years post qualification experience preferably in a mining environment
- Member of ZICA
- The candidate must have a restriction free and valid driver’s license
