Job Title: Communications and Advocacy Officer
- Maintains a database of press cuttings, and relevant excerpts from various media records and publications for purposes of assessing public opinion and concerns relating to ROCS operations as well as using the information for organisational learning.
- Provide support to the FAM Sponsorship Officer in regard to communication and correspondence.
- Facilitating media engagements, act as link between ROCS and the media.
- Responsible for preparing newsletters, press statements, press briefings, policy briefs, position papers and speeches.
- Works with all programme teams to develop appropriate information, messages, documentaries, articles, pictures etc. for dissemination within ROCS and other key stakeholders.
- Be responsible for facilitating research and policy analysis on key issues that needs ROCS advocacy intervention.
- To design needs based radio and television programmes using research information.
- Coordinate the designing, planning and delivery of the organization’s advocacy activities.
- Monitor the media on regular basis on education particularly on community schools and education in general and keep administration informed on the same issues for advocacy purposes.
