Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Maintaining, repairing, overhauling and constructing of mainly surface winding plant, associated
Shaft Sinking operational equipment as well as Hydraulic equipment
Supervising and training of staff under his/her responsibility
Managing and arranging that all required maintenance programmes on all Site machineryincluding all trackless equipment on Surface is executed
Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
Mechanical duties per acceptable standard
Planning maintenance
Profile
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
A Grade 12 Certificate
Section 13 Trade Certificate (Fitter)
Computer literate in various Microsoft packages such as MS Excel and Word
Good communication skills in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
Extensive experience as a Mechanic/Fitter on Hydraulics
Knowledge and experience on Winding Engines and Shaft work.
Training/Planning and Supervision
Previous offshore experience would be an added advantage
Previous working experience in respective trade
Good working experience within the mining environment
Shaft Sinking Experience would be an added advantage
Knowledge of Boilermaking and Workshop Supervision practices would be an advantage
Working knowledge of winding operations, mechanical and legal
