VACANCY: Events & Sponsorship Executive
LEVEL: 6

JOB PURPOSE
To assist Brand and Communications Manager in sponsorship activation planning, implementation, and measurement of events and sponsorships. Managing multiple projects simultaneously is a key requirement. The role holder will be responsible for managing each project through the project life cycle including brief development, concept ideation, plan development, presentation, and review, operationalizing according to plan, identification of optimization opportunities, and post-campaign measurement.
REPORTING TO THE BRAND AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER, THE MAIN REPSONSIBILITIS ARE;
1. Activation Planning
Collaborate with cross functional teams and external teams to establish program deliverables and objectives, including initiating the project brief for project kick-off
Assist in the development of activation programs to meet Airtel objectives
Develop annual event strategy that integrates with marketing platform, leverages current properties and maximizes budget.
Serve as assistant project lead to Brand and Communications Manager for assigned projects and properties and serve as day-to-day account lead as assigned
Develop a method for measuring each event’s success. Provide post campaign/event analysis and make recommendations for future events
2. Marketing Management
Support cross functional teams in developing viable tactics for further growth of the business in the region
Brand Custodian
Roadmap strategy rollout
3. Activation Execution
Monitor and optimize activations, providing regular reports to cross functional teams.
Develop Activation Manual for each activation
Develop and distribute recaps of activations
Reconcile activation budgets post-event
Ensure all events are adequately staffed
4. Activation On-Site
Coordinate with venue for all operational/logistics
Manage set-up, engagement of on-site activations
Ensure all components are fully functioning according to activation plan
Manage temporal events staff when required
Track engagements according to activation plan
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or any related commercial qualification
At least 3years working experience Trade Marketing/ Events and Sponsorships Management
PERSONAL BEHAVIOUR REQUIRED IN THE POST.
Ability to effectively communicate a thought or an idea, draft communications, write reports and business correspondence
Project management skills including ability to manage internal and external deliverables in a timely manner
Business Awareness
Customer Oriented
Must be a resourceful self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision
Driver’s license in good standing
Building value based relationships
Understanding local life style dynamics of regional areas
