The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization working to support and strengthen democratic institutions worldwide through citizen participation, openness and accountability in government. NDI has supported democratic institutions and practices in every region of the world for more than two decades. Since its founding in 1983, NDI and its local partners have worked to establish and strengthen political and civic organizations, safeguard elections, and promote citizen participation, openness and accountability in government. NDI will work in Zambia to support election observation and other activities for the 2016 elections.

ICT Program Assistant – Consultancy
Job Purpose
The ICT Program Assistant will support NDI Zambia’s ICT requirements and will assist in the implementation of ICT programs in support of the 2016 elections.
The ICT Program Assistant will report to the Resident Program Officer:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in ICT
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in an environment with demanding timelines
- Experience in database development
- Experience with communication systems or a data Centre setting
- Knowledge of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems, Telerivet systems (desired)
- Experience working in a civil society organization (desired)
- Strong ICT skills
- Strong communications and data visualization skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office user
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the creation and customization of databases.
- Assist in the set-up and maintenance of IVR and communications systems
- Provide troubleshooting services during activity implementation
- Provide analysis of data
- Write activity reports
- Assist with training, training materials development, printing and distribution
- Attend to assignments as directed by the Resident Program Officer
