Job Purpose: Implement and promote the local integration programme in Mayukwayukwa, Kaoma
Key Performance
Activities
Beneficiary relocation
- Conduct meetings and discussions with sector leaders and the beneficiary families to explain the benefits of relocating to the new resettlement scheme area.
- Conduct orientations on the sweat equity aspect to the vulnerable families and explain the requirements of the beneficiaries upon material delivery.
- Conduct family needs requirement and logistics for family relocation e.g. temporal shelter kits.
- Capturing biodata of beneficiary families and developing beneficiary profiles before and after providing support to them.
Training of families
- Training beneficiaries on sweat equity and inventory procedures.
Community and capacity building - Developing partnership models with government and partner organizations that encourage increased participation of communities in local development and planning.
Reporting and information management
- Inputting Data into a comprehensive database of local integration beneficiary households.
- Develop and provide comprehensive weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on project progression and /drawback and ensure compliance with donor contractual obligations.
- Document lessons learnt from projects, challenges and any changes to the project design
- Keep up to date beneficiary files with all necessary documentation that is family profile, inventory receipts, copy of identity card etc.
Advocacy
- Strengthening the voice of beneficiaries to influence regulations and decisions impacting their families.
M & E
- Monitoring the social economic impact of housing and related services on beneficiary families.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to Plan and Manage projects
- 2 years’ experience in community development preferably in the NGO sector.
- Valid Driver’s License a Must
- Ability to ride a motor cycle
- Computer literate
- Willing to work long hours
- Report Writing Skills a must
- Good organizational, communication, and analytical skills a necessity
- Ability to deal with stress & meet deadlines
- Ability to multi – task
- Ability to speak ANY of the following local languages is a MUST:Lozi, Mbunda, Chokwe, Swahili, Lunda, Luvale, Sinyarwanda, Kikaonde, Nkoya, Mbundu, and Nyanja.
