AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is a locally registered not-for-profit NGO registered in Zambia. AHF collaborates with the Zambian government and other institutions to provide technical assistance to these key stakeholders to establish sustainable and replicable models for the delivery of quality and comprehensive HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support, HIV Counselling, and Testing. Prevention and Psycho-soci services to people living with HIV/AIDS

Job Title: Accounting Officer – Lusaka office
Job Summary:
To assist the Finance and Administration Manager to direct and oversee the day to day accounting functions of AHF Zambia office in a manner that supports the efficient management of financial transactions and reporting. This function will be executed by ensuring accuracy and timely processing of payments, proper documentation and timely reporting. Cash management, advances, receivables management, support to finance and non-finance personnel to ensure adherence policies and procedures.
Core/Essential duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Strategic: Assist the Finance and Administration Manager to provide effective and efficient financial services to AHF Zambia in order to facilitate the achievement of the organizations objectives.
- Financial Management
- Supervisory: Provide leadership and supervision to personnel involved in handling of finances as directed by the supervisor
- Statutory Reporting: Ensuring the statutory requirements regarding AHF and staff (Pay As You Earn, Social
Security, Local Medical operational requirements) are met
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Accountancy or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years in a similar position
- Knowledge of certified financial practices
- Excellent computer skills especially Excel spreadsheet and MS Word
Other Skills and Abilities
- Sensitivity to ethics and confidentiality on finance HR and HI V/AIDS client information.
- Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers. common fractions and
decimals working knowledge of accounts and reconciliation is imperative. - Good communication and interpersonal skills,
- IT Knowledge and any Accounting Package
