The International Organization for Migration (I0M) Lusaka Zambia is looking for suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:
CLINICAL OFFICER – LUSAKA (1 POSITION)
Under the overall supervision of the IOM Lusaka Chief of Mission and under the technical supervision of the IOM MHD Regional Coordinator, and under the direct Migration Health Officer, the incumbent will assist in performing pre-departure health assessments, fitness for travel assessments and organize and report events from the medical surveillance in the IOM Transit Center in Lusaka.
In particular the incumbent will; – Conduct pre-departure fit to travel assessment and issue fit to travel certificates as per the 10M MHD procedures and protocols. The pre-departure health activities include but not limited to: Pre-departure medical screening and fit to travel certification, medical treatment and follow up, pro-embarkation medical checkup and preparation of health manifest.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine
- At least three years of continuous clinical practice.
- Work experience ¡n refugee set up ¡s an added advantage.
- Previous work experience with UN, local and international NGOs is an advantage
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Stamina, determination, adaptability and abilitj to travel frequently and work under difficult and hardship conditions
- Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and others.
- Basic computer skills
