The International Organization for Migration (I0M) Lusaka Zambia is looking for suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:
ON CALL NURSES – LUSAKA (1 LUSAKA/ 1 MAHEBA CAMP, SOLWEZI)
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Migration Health Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting in performing required routine clinical tasks/procedures in connection with the health assessments, pre-departure medical examinations, fitness for travel and epi surveillance to ensure that identified refugees and migrants are medically fit to travel in accordance with the medical/health requirements of the receiving countries
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Completed Secondary school, Diploma in Nursing and registration with the General Nursing Council of Zambia as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 4 years work experience in Clinical Nursing.
- Training and experience in TB, STDs, other communicable diseases and migration health is considered an asset.
- Previous work experience with an international organization and NGOs dealing with refugees would be strong advantage.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially in MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word etc)
