Habitat For Humanity Zambia (HFH Zambia) is focused on eliminating poverty housing through providing simple, decent houses to families in need and to make shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Temporary – Receptionist
Period: 6 Months
Duty station: Lusaka
Direct report: Administrative Assistant
Job Purpose: Responsible for handling front office reception, including greeting guests and answering phones, handling organization inquiries and sorting, distributing mail.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and operate the switchboard, route calls to specific people
  • Answer inquiries about the organization
  • Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable
  • Ensure reception area is tidy
  • Coordinate mail flow in and out of the offices
  • Perform basic bookkeeping, filing and clerical duties
  • Take and relay messages
  • Minutes taking – An  added advantage
Qualifications and Experience
  • Certificate in Secretarial Duties
  • Computer literate (MS Office and MS Outlook)
  • Good communication  and writing skills
  • Independent worker and team player
  • Able to work under a fast pace environment and perform OT when required
  • Willing to learn attitude
