ActionAid is in processes of recruiting the People for Change Coordinator (P4C)/ Board Liaison Officer. Reporting to the Human Resources and OD Manager, in part to the Head of Policy / Programs and shall be based in Lusaka. This is a Middle Management position and the establishment.
1. Key Responsibilities regarding People for Change Functions
- To manage an annual budget for the programme and quarterly financial reports
- Work with partners and Programmes to develop Terms of Reference (TORs) for Inspirator and Job Descriptions for Advisor placements
- Coordinate recruitment process for Inspirators both for the Roster and for specific placements
- Monitor Inspirator placements through annual work plans, quarterly reports, summaries and field visits and ensure that practicalities and logistics are in place prior to the arrival of Inspirators, Advisors, young learners and short term volunteer placements
- Secure work permits
2. Key Responsibilities regarding Board Liaison Functions
- Coordinating Board related correspondence to Country Management Team and other stakeholders and vice versa
- Creating and managing an annual budget for the Board activities
- Compiling and distributing of Quarterly Departmental performance reports to the Board of Directors, records management for all Board related activities, Board meeting Agendas and Minute-taking
- Recruiting and managing the Annual General Assembly
Person specifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Human Resource, Public Administration or equivalent with at least three (3) years working experience in a similar environment.
Other Required Competences
Knowledge of administration and recruitment process involving handling of VISA and work permit application process; Good organizational and planning skills, ability to write concise, analytical and accurate reports to agreed deadlines; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in good written English. Proactive and able to work with a high degree of independence and high level of confidentiality
Computer proficiency and hands on Microsoft suites applications such as word, excel, power point, etc.
